Sumba's training module helps you ensure your staff is properly trained, assessed, and certified for their roles.
Overview
The training feature has three components:
- Training Materials — Content your staff needs to learn (videos, manuals, documents)
- Assessments — Tests that verify understanding (true/false, multiple choice)
- Certifications — Records of who passed what and when
Setting Up Training Materials
- Go to Training on the web portal
- Create a new training module
- Add materials:
- Videos — Upload training videos directly
- Documents — Upload PDFs, manuals, or reference guides
- Text content — Write instructions directly in the module
- Assign the training to a location (training can be location-specific)
Creating Assessments
Assessments follow the same familiar list builder format:
- Within a training module, create a new assessment
- Add questions:
- True / False
- Multiple Choice
- Set a passing score (e.g., 80%)
- Publish the assessment
Staff complete assessments on the mobile app. Results are recorded automatically.
Tracking Certifications
